We love our coffee. Ever since the trip to Italy back in 2007, good coffee has been the order of the day. Each day, in fact. Christmas 2007 saw an espresso machine under the tree that has been used possibly more than any other gift I have ever received. Americanos replaced the horrid no-name coffee at work, and then it became a daily rite.

Then, we discovered Spanish Lattes over at Cafe Artigiano.

Delicious stuff, but we didn’t realize how beautiful they looked until I picked up a couple of clear coffee cups last month.

Not bad for an untrained barista.

I’m sure we’ve all wondered at some point, “what does this blanket taste like?” Well, Buddha knows. Because Buddha chews on his blanket several times each day, just to make sure it’s flavour hasn’t changed. Or something. Anyway, it must make for an interesting past-time.

Finally, the pictures from our cross-country road trip last summer are posted. They’re not captioned, but at least they’re categorized by province. Check it out in the picture gallery.

This morning we were awoken by a great and fearsome monster trying to claw it’s way into the bedroom. Daren put his life on the line and appeased the beast with some pellets so that we could enjoy a few more hours of sleep.

We just made some thai stir-fried scallops & asparagus, preceded by a coconut chicken soup. It was delicious. It’s time to sit back and let the flavour-memories simmer.
